Ingredients

Marinade

  • 250 g saikoro beef
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp First Batch Wasabi Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Stir-fry

  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 70 g green beans, cut into 3–4 cm pieces
  • 70 g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp First Batch Wasabi Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 100 ml beef stock

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the saikoro beef with cornstarch, sesame oil, First Batch Wasabi Hot Sauce, and salt. Mix well until evenly coated. Marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Slice the onion, mince the garlic, cut the green beans, and slice the shiitake mushrooms. Set aside.
  3. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the onion. Cook until the onion softens and becomes translucent.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the pan. Stir-fry until the beef is browned on the outside.
  5. Add the green beans and shiitake mushrooms. Stir well, then add black pepper, soy sauce, and First Batch Wasabi Hot Sauce. Mix until evenly combined.
  6. Pour in the beef stock. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce slightly thickens and all ingredients are cooked through.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot. Best enjoyed with steamed white rice.
